Case Study: Commercial Relocation, Angus Cycle Hub
Our Perth branch operates throughout Perth, Angus and Tayside, so we were delighted to get involved in moving the Angus Cycle Hub’s refurbishment workshop from Forfar to Dundee. The Cycle Hub is an award winning not for profit social enterprise dedicated to supporting Cycling and Active Travel. Their projects encourage people to lead healthier lives and reduce short car journeys and CO2 emissions through cycling and bike reuse. Their Forfar warehouse in Angus is a bike recycling and refurbishment centre and this was being moved to Dundee.

A large-scale commercial removal which took 2 days, totaling 6,000 cubic feet an 18T lorry and a low loader van. As with all commercial moves the aim was to minimize any downtime or further refurbishment work for the hub. To do this the team needed to plan carefully to ensure the 200 bicycles, 60 four drawer filing cabinets, four work stations, associated tools and dozens of large plastic crates and roll cages for spare bicycle parts were moved on time, carefully and efficiently. As well as turning their attention to the contents of the office, rest room/kitchen, to ensure nothing was left behind for the move to their new premises in the refurbished spiral car park in Dundee.

“The team at Clockwork Removals, Perth Depot were incredibly professional and efficient when moving our warehouse from Forfar to Dundee. The team remained steadfast despite challenges that arose at our end and saw the move through into the evening ensuring a smooth transition for our company.
Their staff were incredible, no breakages whatsoever, and always eager to help position everything where it needed to go.
We would highly recommend them and utilise their expertise again.” James Beattie, Cycle Hub Site Manager.
