London Borough of Newham: Case Study

Clockwork Removals were selected by London Borough of Newham via competitive tendering to manage the multi-site relocation of 2700 staff from various offices in the borough to their new purpose-built offices called Building 1000 at Royal Albert Docks.

The contract ran from October 2008 through to June 2010, at its busiest point during the summer of 2009, our teams were managing close to one move per day, for three months during the summer of 2009, our teams were managing close to one move per day, for three months during the summer of 2009, our teams were managing close to one move per day.

The full moving service included:

• Providing crates a week before the relocation of each department
• Pre-move site surveys
• Overnight and weekend moves (90% of moves took place outside working hours)
• Short notice moves

The full relocation is now complete, but Clockwork continue to work with the London Borough of Newham on occasional moving projects.
