I need a quotation

Whatever move you are planning, be it a small residential move, a complete office relocation or a move to the other side of the world, you can contact your local Clockwork branch. Email, call or contact us using our website for an online estimate and you can even request a call back at a time convenient for you. Our staff can then arrange a suitable date to visit your property to give you a full no obligation quote, free of charge. For small removals we can even give you a quote over the phone or by email. How does Clockwork calculate the removal fee?

Every move is unique and as such we treat each quotation separately, whether it is an office removal, international move or home removal, and base our price on the specific requirements of each customer. The price will always be dependent upon what size of vehicle you need, what size of team you need, where you are moving to and if you have any specific requirements.

What is included in the quotation?

Every quotation is different as we tailor make each one to suit your unique needs. We provide you with a complete service including the following:

  • All Packing Materials such as boxes, tape, tissue, wardrobe boxes, bubblewrap, mattress covers and sofa covers.
  • Full Packing Service – We will come into the property, usually the day before and get everything packed up ready for the removal the next day.
  • Full Removal Service - We will dismantle all items (beds, wardrobes etc.) and take items off walls/ceilings such as bookshelves, paintings and chandeliers.
  • Full unpacking service – This is usually done the day after the move whereby we would unpack all your items and take the rubbish away with us.

Do I have to pay VAT?

In the United Kingdom it is a legal requirement to charge Value Added Tax. This will be shown on the quotation.

When I am ready to book, how much notice do I need to give?

As soon as you have confirmed a moving date then please book your removal in with us - it is always best to give around two weeks’ notice. For International and European Removals things usually take a bit longer and the earlier you can book the better. Having said this, at Clockwork, we will do all we can to accommodate your move, however short notice.

When do I need to pay?

For our residential moves we require you to pay for the full removal at least 7 days beforehand. We accept BACS, cheques, debit and credit cards. For commercial clients, please speak to your local branch for details of payment terms.

Will I have a dedicated contact at my Clockwork branch?

There’s nothing more frustrating than speaking to two or three different people and wires getting crossed. For every Clockwork move you will be assigned your own Move Manager from your local branch, who will oversee your move from the quote right through to completion.

Do you offer insurance?

We offer you the option to purchase a ‘Removals and Storage Policy’ (also known as Goods In Transit & Storage Insurance), which ensures you and your goods are fully protected during the crucial moving process.

Should I take out insurance?

Whilst we always take the best care of your effects, there is always a risk when moving furniture and fragile items, so we always recommend to all our clients that they have cover in place during the removal process. Our Removals and Storage Policy offers cover specific to the removal and storage of our client’s effects and by covering your effects with us you can avoid any increase in future premiums.'

What is ‘Extended’ or ‘Standard’ liability in regards to insurance?

Other movers may have offered you a product described as ‘Extended’ or ‘Standard’ liability. This product is NOT INSURANCE and the legal complexities of this could leave you and your family severely disadvantaged. Please get in touch with us directly to discuss our full insurance offer.

Do you move specialist and high value items such as pianos, fine art and antiques?

Yes. We are experts in specialist moving and are as happy moving your fine art and high value antiques across town as we are moving them across the globe.
